Sharks Director of Rugby Gary Gold has named his team to play Toulouse at Stade Ernest-Wallon in their second Super Rugby warm up match on tour.

Gold has named former Cheetahs and Springbok fullback Willie le Roux in the starting team and Garth April at flyhalf.

While the Sharks suffered a number of injuries in the match against Toulon Gold said that he was pleased with the performance.

“I was generally happy with our performance against Toulon. With that being our first hit-out of the season the players were bound to be a bit rusty in certain areas, but overall, I was pleased with the intensity and commitment shown in the match.

“The match against Toulouse gives us another opportunity to test new combinations and work on certain areas, that we weren’t as accurate in, last Friday. ”

“Toulouse boasts a good squad and they’ll provide the ideal test and preparation we require, ahead of the start of Super Rugby 2016.”

This match will be televised at 21h40 on SS1 in South Africa.

Beast Mtawarira , Coenie Oosthuizen , Francois Kleinhans , Giant Mtyanda , Lwazi Mvovo , Patrick Lambie and Ruan Botha were all unavailable for selection due to injury or SA Rugby limitations.
